Special Conference for Polluted Water Improvement convened
The Special Conference for Polluted Water Improvement was convened in late June. The conference required diligent and honest governmental administration for advancement of polluted water improvement.
The conference also also mentioned that more efforts should be put into the polluted water improvement work that had entered substantial promotion stage.
Representatives of Zhongshan Environmental Protection Bureau, Zhongshan Housing and Urban-rural Development Bureau and Zhongshan Water Supplies Bureau reported the work progress and made their attitude towards honest administration construction.
The ‘second startup’ of the reform and opening-up
The key to the future development is to seize the opportunity of development of “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”.
According to The 4th Plenary Session of The 14th Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee, Zhongshan should “integrate into the development of the Bay Area” and “take it as the ‘second startup’ of the reform and opening-up”.
Director of Zhongshan Development and Reform Bureau Liang Weihua says the bureau will pursue initiatives in development and competitiveness in advancing development of the Bay Area. Zhongshan will connect itself to Shenzhen, Hong Kong and western Guangdong in terms of economic sector, and carry out activities in terms of modern service sector jointly with Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.Deepened and extended reform and opening-up will be the significance for Zhongshan to participate in international specialization and foreign trade. According to Xiong Jing, Vice Chief of Business Department of Zhongshan Municipal Party School, Zhongshan should actively explore markets along “The Belt and Road” region by encouraging group development of trade associations and alliances in these areas.
